About Jaxco Theatre Boosters
Our Story
Jaxco Theatre Boosters, Inc. was founded in 2025 to support the growing success and tradition of excellence within the JCHS Drama Department (the Panther Players). Our purpose is to encourage, equip, and celebrate the students of the program as they develop their talents on stage and behind the scenes.
The JCHS Drama Department has built a strong reputation through consistent achievement in performance and competition. Students have earned recognition at One Act Play competitions, Literary events, and in a variety of community productions. Recent shows include Frozen Jr., Mean Girls, and Catch Me If You Can, all of which showcased the remarkable dedication and creativity of our students.
“There is a story inside of you that’s ready to be told.”

Our Program
passion for PERFORMANCE

The Booster Club plays a vital role in making these productions possible by funding costumes, sets, technical support, travel, and enrichment opportunities. Through this support, we help ensure that students have everything they need to shine on stage and experience the full educational and artistic value of theatre.
Our program is more than performances — it is a community where students grow as artists, leaders, and collaborators. Together with our families and community partners, the Jaxco Theatre Boosters is proud to invest in our students and continue building a legacy of theatrical excellence at Jackson County High School.
Our Staff
Emily Taylor
Ms. Taylor has been a dedicated part of the Jackson County theatre community for the past eight years and is excited to begin her 11th year of teaching. Before moving into education, she worked professionally with a number of theatre companies as a stage manager and in both company and production management with Berkshire Theatre Company. She also had the unique opportunity to intern as a stage manager with Wicked on Broadway. Her greatest passion, however, is teaching. Ms. Taylor loves guiding students as they grow in their craft and discover their own love for the arts. She believes that theatre not only builds creativity and confidence, but also shapes compassionate, collaborative individuals. Her hope is that by the time students complete their journey at JaxCo, they leave with the skills to be good humans who use their talents to create good in the world.

Shannon Green is the Director of Choral Activities and Musical Director at Jackson County High School. She has been an educator for the past 18 years and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Green is an active member of the Georgia Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Education. She strongly believes in the value of performing arts in schools and the important role they play in helping students build confidence, creativity, and community.
